Create  Your Own Sibling Book

Take some pictures over the week and make a sibling book from it.  Use simple text but it something that the kids will enjoy over time.

I can __________ with my sister

This can help form a strong relationship.  It also helps them both to understand the types of activities that they can do together.  Talk about the things they can do together and write them down on paper.  Put those words into sentences together on the computer and printed it off.  Glue the text onto the page and draw a picture of the activity. Print off a real picture to go with it.

Here are some sentences to start with:

My Sister
I can read with my sister.
I can play toys with my sister.
I can pretend with my sister.
I can play on the playground with my sister.

November's Book Choice

Raina can't wait to be a big sister. But once Amara is born, things aren't quite how she expected them to be. Amara is cute, but she's also a cranky, grouchy baby, and mostly prefers to play by herself. Their relationship doesn't improve much over the years, but when a baby brother enters the picture and later, something doesn't seem right between their parents, they realize they must figure out how to get along. They are sisters, after all.
